Dandelion root
Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinalis radix) is a universal liver tonic, aiding in the digestion and balancing of blood sugar levels, which combine to create good health for the eyes. In addition, dandelion contains antioxidants to help tissues stay healthy.
It is effective as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent1 with a broad array of compounds whose biological effects are actively being researched in various areas of human health.
Dandelion tea serves as an effective anti-bacterial eyelid wash. Steep the tea or bags for 5–6 minutes, and allow it to cool to a warm, or room temperature.
It is contained in Revision Formula. In Chinese medicine, "Liver" opens to the eye and stimulates energy and blood circulation throughout the eyes and body.
